Symmetrized Kullback-Leibler centroids of image histograms

The applet below finds the centroid of two image intensity histograms with respect to the symmetric Kullback-Leibler divergence (symmetric relative entropy also called J-divergence).
(Local *apple* images are named 1.jpg and 2.jpg. For example, you can try with 2.jpg and 1.jpg below. You can input any URL image. Try to look for example at leopard fur images from Google image by performing this query )
